Bali has the wild forests which stretch on the northern western part of Bali Island. You can see some curious monkeys with their hands stretched out constantly asking for a treat from the guests. There are also lizards who are living in harmony with the humans here, and it is thought to be a good omen if someone could hear the lizard call seven times. There are some Balinese tigers roam the remotest northwest part of the island, although it is a little bit rare to see them directly from their habitats.
Beside that, there will be iguanas, bats, mouse deer, squirrels, civets, barking deer, and more than 300 species of birds in Bali Island. You can also find the schools for dolphins near the area of Padangbai, Lovina, and Candidasa, and there are a lot of corals and small reef fish, sponges, moray eels, plankton, and crustaceans, devouring the whale sharks throughout the east coast of the area named Menjangan Island.
The domestic fauna of Bali Island is equally varied. There are ducks, roosters, chickens, cows, and pigs form the complete picture of a Balinese farm life, because the majority of the local people here work as a farmer.
Although Bali is renowned and famous throughout the world as the place for you to enjoy the sand, surf, and sun, but this island also carries in its folds wilderness of such extreme beauty which only opens up to the knowing travelers. Bali is also exceptional in that it offers its explorers in the national parks here. Bali Barat National Park was first established in order to preserve the amazing forests and the wildlife inside. You can see the tall tropical trees reaching out for the sky, with the variety of wild orchids growing on the branches of the tree.
